This Code of Conduct applies to all independent contractors who receive referrals through the ZT Pros platform. By accepting referrals through the Platform, you agree to abide by these standards.

1. Purpose

ZT Pros, LLC ("ZT Pros," "we," "us," or "our") is a technology platform and referral business. We refer homeowners to independent, state-compliant home and other service contractors across 37 service categories. This Code of Conduct establishes the professional standards expected of all contractors who participate in the ZT Pros referral network. These standards exist to protect homeowners, maintain the integrity of the Platform, and uphold the reputation of the home service industry.

2. Professional Standards

2.1 Licensing and Insurance

  • Maintain all required state and local licenses, permits, and certifications for your trade at all times
  • Maintain general liability insurance and workers' compensation insurance (where required by state law) with coverage amounts that meet or exceed state minimums
  • Promptly update the Platform with renewed documentation before existing credentials expire
  • Never perform work outside the scope of your active licenses

2.2 Quality of Work

  • Perform all work in a professional, workmanlike manner consistent with industry standards and applicable building codes
  • Use quality materials appropriate for the job scope and customer expectations
  • Obtain all required permits before beginning work that requires them
  • Complete work within the agreed-upon timeline or communicate delays promptly
  • Leave the work site clean and safe upon completion

2.3 Communication

  • Respond to customer inquiries and referral notifications within a reasonable timeframe
  • Communicate clearly about project scope, timeline, costs, and any changes
  • Provide written estimates before beginning work
  • Notify customers promptly of any delays, issues, or scope changes
  • Be reachable during normal business hours through the contact information provided on the Platform

3. Customer Interaction Standards

  • Punctuality: Arrive at scheduled appointments on time. If you will be late, notify the customer as far in advance as possible with an updated arrival time.
  • Professionalism: Present yourself professionally. Treat the customer's property with respect. Identify yourself and your company upon arrival.
  • Respect: Treat all customers with courtesy and respect regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other characteristic.
  • Transparency: Be honest about your capabilities, timeline, and pricing. Do not upsell unnecessary services or create artificial urgency.
  • Privacy: Respect the customer's privacy. Do not photograph or record the customer's property without permission. Do not share customer information with third parties.

4. Pricing and Payment

  • Provide accurate, itemized estimates that clearly describe the scope of work, materials, labor, and any additional costs
  • Do not charge more than the agreed-upon estimate without prior customer approval for scope changes
  • Accept payment through the methods agreed upon with the customer
  • Pay the ZT Pros referral fee promptly and in accordance with the Independent Contractor Referral Agreement
  • Do not solicit customers obtained through ZT Pros to bypass the Platform for future work in violation of the referral agreement

5. Safety

  • Follow all OSHA regulations and industry safety standards
  • Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for the work being performed
  • Ensure the work site is safe for customers, their families, pets, and property
  • Properly dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with local regulations
  • Report any safety incidents or near-misses to ZT Pros

6. Subcontracting

If you engage subcontractors to assist with work obtained through ZT Pros referrals:

  • You remain fully responsible for the quality and safety of all work performed
  • All subcontractors must be properly state-compliant for the work they perform
  • You must disclose the use of subcontractors to the customer

7. Prohibited Conduct

  • Performing work while under the influence of drugs or alcohol
  • Engaging in any form of harassment, discrimination, or threatening behavior
  • Providing false or misleading information about qualifications, experience, or credentials
  • Performing work without required permits
  • Abandoning a job without proper notice and resolution
  • Damaging customer property through negligence or intentional acts
  • Soliciting customers for non-Platform work in violation of the referral agreement
  • Manipulating reviews, ratings, or the AI estimation system

8. Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises between you and a customer regarding work performed through a ZT Pros referral:

  • First, attempt to resolve the issue directly with the customer in good faith
  • If direct resolution fails, use the Platform's Dispute Resolution process
  • Cooperate fully with any investigation or mediation initiated by ZT Pros
  • Do not retaliate against customers who file complaints or leave negative reviews

9. Enforcement

Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in:

  • Warning: Written notice with corrective action requirements
  • Suspension: Temporary removal from the active referral pool
  • Deplatforming: Permanent removal from the Platform

The severity of enforcement depends on the nature, frequency, and impact of the violation. Safety violations and fraud may result in immediate deplatforming without prior warning.
